Background: Several studies have shown a possible association between periodontal disease and obesity. The aim of this study is to evaluate serum plasminogen activator inhibitor 1 (PAI-1), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha), and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP) levels in the association between obesity and periodontal disease.
