In this study, optimization based on deformation of piled raft foundation systems designed due to bearing capacity problem in saturated clayey soil in Long Beach region of Iskele district of Cyprus Island has been made. In the study, in order to determine loads transferred to the foundation, a 60,5 m high, 19 storey reinforced concrete building model, whose carrier system is shear wall+frame was made.The foundation type was selected as raft foundation firstly. It has been shown by calculation that the raft foundation does not safely carry the load from the superstructure, and then piled raft foundation designs were adopted. In the pile raft foundation designs, 20 different piled raft foundation models were made by using number of the piles, diameter of the piles and length of the piles as variable parameters. As a result of the study, optimum model based on deformation was selected by determining how number of the piles, diameter of the piles and length of the piles affect the values of settlement and lateral deformation in saturated clayey soil. While selection of optimum model, design costs were also taken into consideration.Bu çalışmada, Kıbrıs Adası’nın İskele ilçesindeki Long Beach bölgesinde yer alan suya doygun killi zeminde taşıma gücü probleminden dolayı tasarlanan kazıklı radye temel sistemlerinin deformasyona dayalı optimizasyonu yapılmıştır. Çalışmada, temele aktarılan yüklerin tespit edilmesi amacıyla, taşıyıcı sistemi perde+çerçeve olan 60,5 m yüksekliğinde 19 katlı betonarme bina modeli yapılmıştır. Temel tipi ilk olarak radye temel seçilmiştir. Radye temelin üstyapıdan gelen yükü güvenli bir şekilde taşımadığı hesapla gösterilmiş ve ardından kazıklı radye temel tasarımlarına geçilmiştir. Kazıklı radye temel sistemlerinde, değişken parametreler olarak kazık sayısı, kazık çapı ve kazık uzunluğu değerleri kullanılarak, 20 farklı kazıklı radye temel modeli yapılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda, suya doygun killi zeminde kazık sayısı, kazık çapı ve kazık uzunluğu parametrelerinin oturma ve yanal deformasyon değerlerini nasıl etkilediği saptanarak deformasyona dayalı optimum model seçilmiştir. Optimum model seçilirken, tasarım maliyetleri de göz önünde bulundurulmuştur.
