Amaç: Mesleki tutum, aynı mesleği icra eden bireylerin mesleklerine karşı zaman içinde geliştirdikleri ortak duygu ve düşüncedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’de çalışan fizyoterapistlerin ve fizyoterapist öğretim elemanlarının fizyoterapistlik mesleğine yönelik tutumlarını değerlendirmektir.Materyal-Metot: Bu çalışmaya Türkiye’de çalışan 18-65 yaş arası fizyoterapistler ve fizyoterapist öğretim elemanları dahil edildi. Katılımcılara anket internet aracığıyla gönderildi. Katılımcıların, demografik verileri ve çalışma koşulları kaydedildi ve mesleki eğitimlere katılma durumu sorgulandı. Fizyoterapistlik Mesleğine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği ve Dünya Sağlık Örgütü Yaşam Kalite Ölçeği-Kısa Formu uygulandı. Mesleki memnuniyet düzeyleri değerlendirildi.Bulgular: Çalışmaya yaş ortalaması 30,5±6,70 yıl olan 200 birey katıldı. Katılımcıların çalışma süresi 7,74±6,73 yıl, haftalık çalışma süreleri 33,47±14,24 saatti. Katılımcıların Fizyoterapistlik Mesleğine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği toplam puan ortalamaları 133,94±6,72’ydi. Mesleki tutum ile mesleki memnuniyet arasında orta düzeyde pozitif bir ilişki vardı (r=0,492; p<0,001). Mesleki tutum ve yaşam kalitesi ve aylık gelir düzeyi ile arasında zayıf düzeyde pozitif bir ilişki vardı (p<0,05). Mesleki tutum ve toplam çalışma süresi ve haftalık çalışma saatleri arasındaki negatif yönlü ilişki düzeyi zayıftı (p<0,05). Katılımcıların mesleki tutum düzeyleri, çalışma şekline göre incelendiğinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark bulunmadı (p>0,05).Sonuç: Sonuç olarak, fizyoterapistlerin ve fizyoterapist öğretim elemanlarının mesleklerine karşı olumlu bir tutum sergiledikleri kaydedilmiştir. Mesleki tutumun geliştirilebilmesi için ilişkili olduğu faktörler iyileştirilmelidir.
Objective: Professional attitude is common feelings and thoughts developed by individuals who practice the same profession over time. The aim of this study was to assess the attitudes of the physiotherapist and physiotherapist academicians towards physiotherapist profession who work in Turkey.Material-Method: The Physiotherapist and Physiotherapist Academicians aged 18-65 years who work in Turkey included in this study. The questionnaire was sent to the participants via internet. Demographic data and working conditions of the participants were recorded and their participation in professional training was questioned. Attitude Scale towards Physiotherapy Profession and World Health Organization Quality of Life Scale-Bref were applied. Job satisfaction levels were evaluated. Results: Two-hundred individuals with a mean age of 30.5±6.70 years participated in the study. Participants' total working time was 7.74±6.73 years, and weekly employment period was 33.47±14.24 hours. The total mean score of the participants’ Attitude Scale towards Physiotherapist Profession was 133.94±6.72. There was a moderately positive relationship between professional attitude and pjobsatisfaction (r=0.492; p<0.001). There was a weakly positive correlation with professional attitude and quality of life and monthly income (p<0.05). The negative correlation between professional attitude and total working time and weekly employment period was weak (p<0.05). No statistically significant difference was found when the participants’ professional attitude levels were examined according to working style (p>0.05).Conclusion: As a result, it was noted that physiotherapists and physiotherapist academicians have a positive attitude towards their profession. In order to develop professional attitude, the factors associated with it should be improved.
