Amaç: Tohumların hasat, harman, işlenmesi, sınıflandırılması ve depolanmasında tohumun fiziksel özellikleri büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu nedenle çalışmada farklı büyüklük ve renkteki fasulye genotiplerinin fiziksel özellikleri kullanılarak çok değişkenli istatistik yöntemleri ile karakterizasyonun yapılması amaçlanmıştır. Materyal ve Yöntem: Çalışma Isparta Uygulamalı Bilimler Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi Tarla Bitkileri bölümü laboratuvarlarında 2021 yılında kurulmuştur. Araştırmada fiziksel özellik olarak tohumların uzunluğu, genişliği, kalınlığı, en-boy oranı, parlaklık (L*) değeri, aritmetik ortalama çapı, geometrik ortalama çapı, basıklığı, küreselliği, tohum hacmi, yığın hacim ağırlığı, gerçek hacim ağırlığı, porozite ve yüzey alanı özellikleri incelenmiştir. Çalışmada elde edilen veriler doğrultusunda korelasyon, temel bileşen analizi ve kümeleme ısı haritaları belirlenmiştir. Araştırma Bulguları: Çalışma sonucunda fiziksel özellikler yönünden genel olarak Bolu’dan temin edilen G10 genotipi ön plana çıkmıştır. Korelasyon analizi sonucu genel olarak tohum uzunluğu, genişliği ve kalınlığı, aritmetik ortalama çap, geometrik ortalama çap ve tohum hacmi özellikleri arasında pozitif ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir. TBA sonucunda incelenen özellikler ile ilgili olarak birbirinden bağımsız 3 tane temel bileşen ekseni elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen eksenlerin toplam varyasyonun %91.7’sini oluşturmaktadır. Kümeleme analizine göre ise, genotipler dört gruba, incelenen özellikler ise üç gruba ayrılmıştır. Sonuç: Yapılan bu çok değişkenli analizlerin sonucunda belirlenen özelliklerin fasulye genetik materyalleri üzerine ıslahçılara pratik anlamda fayda sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.Objective: The physical characteristics of seeds are of great importance in harvesting, threshing, processing, classification and storage of seeds. For this reason, the aim of this study was to characterize the bean genotypes of different sizes and colors by using physical properties with multivariate statistical methods. Material and Methods: The study was carried out in the laboratories of Field Crops Department, Agriculture Faculty, Isparta University of Applied Science in 2021. In the study, the physical properties of seeds such as length, width, thickness, aspect ratio, brightness (L*) value, arithmetic mean diameter, geometric mean diameter, kurtosis, sphericity, volume, bulk volume weight, true volume weight, porosity, and surface area were analyzed. It was determined by correlation, principal component analyses and cluster heat maps in accordance with the data obtained in the study. Results: As a result of the study, the G10 genotype obtained from Bolu, which has white seed color in terms of physical properties, came to the fore. As a result of correlation analysis, it was determined that there was a positive relationship between seed length, width and thickness, arithmetic mean diameter, geometric mean diameter, and seed volume. As a result of PCA, 3 independent principal component axes were obtained for traits. Obtained axes accounted for 91.7% of the cumulative variation. According to the clustering analysis, the genotypes were divided into four groups and the traits were divided into three groups. Conclusion: The traits determined as a result of these multivariate analyses are thought to be of practical benefit to breeders on bean genetic materials.
