Değişen müze tanımları ve bundan etkilenen müzeye gitmenin habitusu, farklı sermaye biçimlerini de dönüştürmektedir. Aynı zamanda bu dönüşüm gerçeklik temelinde de yaşanmaktadır. Baudrillard, gerçeklik kavramının 20. yüzyıla doğru kaybedildiğini belirtmiştir. Baudrillard’a göre, artık simülasyon ve sembollerle konuşabileceğimiz sanal gerçekliğin varlığı söz konusu olmaktadır. Ek olarak sanat için de tek bir gerçeklik olgusunun olmadığından bahsetmektedir. Bu çalışma kapsamında, bahsi geçen bu değişimin ele alınabilmesi için “gerçeklik” olgusuna vurgu yapılan ve günümüzde çok ciddi bir ziyaretçi kitlesine sahip olan Madame Tussauds Müzesi konu edinilmiş, Bourdieu’nun habitus ve sermaye kavramları ile Baudrillard’ın Simülasyon Kuramı Madame Tussauds Müzesi üzerinden incelenmiştir. Madame Tussauds Müzesi, sık ziyaret edilen bir müze olması sebebiyle hem bir gerçekliği temsil etmekte hem de iletişim biçimlerinin değişkenliğinin incelenebileceği bir nesne haline gelmektedir. Bu nedenle Madame Tussauds’un, değişen müze kavramına bir örnek sağlayabileceği düşünülmüştür. Bunu yaparken sanat müzesi temsili olarak post-modern dünyanın değişen ilişki ve gerçeklik biçimlerini göstermeyi kolaylaştırabileceği öngörülmüştür. Çalışma sonuçlarında, Madame Tussauds Müzesi özelinde gerçeklik vurgusunun, sanat eserlerinin gerçeğe çok benzemesi üzerinden kurulmuş olduğu ve sergileme işleminin bu vurguya dayandığı tespit edilmiştir. Ek olarak gerçeklik vurgusunun ziyaretçi profilini ve müzelerin ziyaret edilme oranlarını etkilediği sonucuna varılmış ve ekonomik kaygıların ya da küresel sebeplerin, müzelerin kültürel sermayeden ziyade ekonomik sermaye araçlarına dönüşmesine yol açabildiği gözlenmiştir. In addition, Baudrillard mentions that there is no single reality phenomenon for art. Within the scope of this study, Madame Tussauds Museum, which emphasizes the phenomenon of reality and has a very serious visitor mass today, was discussed in order to address this change, Bourdieu's concepts of habitus and capital and Baudrillard's Simulation Theory were examined through Madame Tussauds Museum. Since Madame Tussauds Museum is a frequently visited museum, it both represents a reality and becomes an object where the variability of communication forms can be examined. For this reason, it was thought that Madame Tussauds could provide an example of the changing museum concept. While doing this, it is foreseen that the post-modern world as a representation of the art museum can facilitate showing the changing relationship and reality forms. In the results of the study, it has been determined that the emphasis on reality of Madame Tussauds Museum is based on the fact that the works of art are very similar to reality and the exhibition process is based on this emphasis. In addition, it has been concluded that the emphasis on reality affects the visitor profile and the rate of visiting museums, and it has been observed that economic concerns or global reasons may lead to the transformation of museums into economic capital tools rather than cultural capital.Today, where visual communication is quite common, it is thought that this review can provide a different perspective.
