Amaç: Bu çalışma, oral mukozit ile ilgili hemşirelik alanında yapılan lisansüstü tez çalışmalarını sistematik olarak incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Materyal ve Metot: Bu çalışmaya ait verileri toplamak amacıyla Yükseköğretim Kurulu Ulusal Tez Merkezi veri tabanı taranmıştır. Anahtar kelime olarak “oral mukozit” kelimesi ve konu olarak “hemşirelik” seçilerek tarama yapılmıştır. Tarama sonucunda 2003-2023 yılları arasında yayınlanan, tez başlığında “kemoterapi”, “radyoterapi”, “kök hücre nakli” ve “oral mukozit” kelimeleri olan, tam metnine ulaşılabilen ve randomize kontrollü çalışma deseninde yapılmış olan 6 tez çalışması seçilerek, incelenmiştir. Bulgular: Çalışmaya dahil edilen 6 tezin örneklem büyüklüğünün 412 kişi olduğu belirlenmiştir. Tezlerde 7 farklı ölçme aracı ile OM’nin değerlendirildiği saptanmıştır. Tezlerin %50’sinde “DSÖ Oral Toksisite Ölçeği” ve “Ağız Değerlendirme Rehberi” ölçme araçları kullanılmıştır. Tezlerde oral mukozitin önlenmesi ve tedavisinde kullanılan ürünler ve yöntemler arasında sıklıkla karadut şurubu (%50,0) ve sodyum bikarbonat (%33,3) kullanıldığı belirlenmiştir. Tezlerin sonuçlarına göre, yukarıda sayılan ürünlerin oral mukozitin görülme sıklığını ve şiddetini azalttığı ve hastaların yaşam kalitesini olumlu yönde etkilediği gibi farklı sonuçların yer aldığı söylenebilir. Sonuç: Sonuç olarak oral mukozite yönelik hasta, hasta yakınları ve sağlık profesyonellerini kapsayan kanıt düzeyi yüksek lisansüstü tezlerin yapılması önerilebilir.
Aim: This study aimed to systematically review postgraduate thesis studies in the field of nursing related to oral mucositis. Material and Methods: The data for this study were collected by searching the National Thesis Center database of the Higher Education Council. The search was conducted using the keyword "oral mucositis" and the subject "nursing." Six thesis studies conducted between 2003 and 2023, with the keywords "chemotherapy," "radiotherapy," "stem cell transplantation," and "oral mucositis" in their titles, accessible in full text, and employing a randomized controlled study design, were selected for review. Results: It was determined that the sample size of the six included theses was 412 individuals. Seven different measurement tools for assessing OM were identified in the theses. The "WHO Oral Toxicity Scale" and "Oral Assessment Guide" measurement tools were used in 50% of the theses. Black mulberry syrup (50.0%) and sodium bicarbonate (33.3%) were frequently used among the products and methods for the prevention and treatment of oral mucositis in the theses. According to the results of the theses, it can be said that the mentioned products reduce the frequency and severity of oral mucositis and positively impact patients' quality of life. Conclusion: In conclusion, it may be recommended to conduct postgraduate theses with a high level of evidence involving patients, patient relatives and health professionals related to oral mucositis.
